One of the most rewarding experiences I had while teaching at Camp Coker was the year that I was able to work with a boy who was terrified of the water and by the end of one week, was able to pass the BSA Swim Test (which is not easy).
I believe that everyone should know how to swim and I would love the opportunity to enhance your experience in the water.
I served at Camp Coker for 14 years as a lifeguard. Seven of those as the Aquatics Director, head lifeguard and lifeguard instructor.
BSA Lifeguard takes a lot from the Red Cross Lifeguard course, but goes further and provides a much more rigorous course producing awesome lifeguards.
As a BSA National Camping School certified Aquatics Instructor, I can teach and certify BSA Lifeguards. Taking this course would more than prepare you for a Red Cross certification.
There is no better place than the great outdoors to bring people together and to learn leadership skills. My background in Scouting can provide a wealth of team building activities that are fun and exciting while building confidence and camaraderie.
Adventure based team building activities that incorporate leadership skills are perfect for businesses, youth programs and athletic teams.
While in the outdoors, or even in the city, it is best to leave a place better than you found it.
Leave No Trace is a set of ethics that we use to guide how we conduct ourselves to preserve the outdoors.
Learn how you can embrace these principles and practices to make the outdoors around you better for others.
